EyeBrows

How do I make my brows look good?

First of all, when applying makeup to the eyebrows, don’t use a heavy hand -apply very lightly, so that you get a natural-looking result.
Always apply makeup in the same direction as the hair growth. If the hairs sweep up and out, then follow that with your brush.

Use a shade as close to your natural hair color without being darker. Too dark or too heavy and you will look harsh.

Already used too much? Use a cotton swab, cotton ball, or even your kabuki brush to lightly sweep over the brow and lift the color off.

Why are brows important? They frame the face and lift at the same time. It realy gives a finished look even if you only wear a litle lip gloss and mascara.

Using powder is much softer and more natural than using a waxy pencil but you can add definition by using a fine thin angled brush such as our Double Ender to apply lines that mimic the way a hair would look.

The fine, smooth, narrow bristles are the same size as an average eyebrown hair would be.

In doing this, you can cover bald patches and help shape the arch of the brow by intesifying the upper arch or giving a little extra length if you need it.

The results are amazing. Why do you think there are some professionals that ONLY do eyebrows? Investing just a minute or two in your day will make a huge difference in your overal look.
Once you get used to it, the application is very quick.

Being a cosmetologist, I can’t recomend enough getting your eyebrows waxed, or plucking if you can do it yourself. Getting a “clean’ edge on your eyebrows opens up your eyes and provides a cleaner and younger eye look.

Once a pro has given them the right shape, it is much easier for you to keep the lines you want.

Whether plucking or filling in, use this guideline to not over do it:

Line up a pencil from the outside of your nostril to your tear duct. You can get rid of anything outside of this imaginary line. To find the outer boundary on the other side of your eyebrow, line the pencil up from the outside of your nostril to the outer corner of your eye.

The eyebrown arch should be directly over your pupil when you are looking straight ahead.

Not sure what shade matches……… get samples of several shades that look like they might be close to your natural hair color.

Another tip for those who have light eyebrow hair: use our natural mascara to lightly brush over it. If it is too strong, use a very light dusting of mineral foundation. We offer both brown and black.
